Nicholas has served as the Honorary Chairperson for the Stuttering Foundation of America since 2001.

This charity touches Nicholas deeply -- in interviews since he began Buffy, he's revealed that he suffered from a stutter when he was younger. He has appeared in ads and numerous stories regarding his work with the SFA.
