Hey guys, it’s me!

Listen, this is my second blog, for some reason – it cut me off, so I’m going to say everything over again, but I guess I’ll be chippier. I’ll have more “chip” to my step.

What’s up, guys? Nicholas Brendon here, calling you from my abode, and there are a few things I would like to talk to you about this week, week and a half:

No. 1, work: Kitchen Confidential could not be going any better.

You know, I’m used to doing good shows, y’know, high-quality, and, kids, I gotta tell ya, I’m on another one. This thing is funny, and everyone on this show is fantastic, and I really hope you guys enjoy it, and I think you will. Of course, we’ll be talking about this in greater depth, as the weeks, as the year gets older -- we will talk about that.

2. Saw a movie. Saw Crash for the first time. I don’t know what you kids thought about it, but I thought it was something fantastic. I just really got lost … I love the soundtrack to it, and Terrence Howard, hey yo, huh? Can I get a what’s up? That guy was great. Have not seen “Hustle & Flow,” but that’ll be the next film that I see and review next week. But, yeah, I was blown away by that movie.

Just finished reading The Grifters. Huh? What do you think about that? Jim Thompson? Huh? That’s right. The Grifters. Have you all read it? I liked it. I did. A little dark, a little edgy, and I’m sure you’ve read it before. I’m getting into this vintage crime. You know, I was a big Raymond Chandler guy, and now I’ve got buddies that are just giving me all these, authors, if you will, these vintage-crime writing authors.

Now last, and quite possibly, most important, I’ve got this band that you all should really, really check out. The band name is Dalton Grant. Now these guys are really good friends of mine, however, the music is phenomenal. And, what we’re going to do here, we’re going to have a contest, where you guys listen to their music.

The rules of the contest are going to be listed on my Web site, but basically you guys are going to listen to the music and then tell me what you think about it, and the best response wins. But don’t B.S. Really give us your God’s honest response here. It has really affected my life, and I’ve gone through some ups and some downs, and this music has always kind of kept me … I’d hate to say breathing or waking up in the morning. It’s like, “Oh my God, I’ve got something to look forward to.” But you know when you get songs inside of your head, and it’s like, “That’s kick ass! That’s the stuff,” and I would really, really, really love to hear your all’s opinion on that.

The winner gets a gift basket with cds, T-shirts, photos -- signed photos -- and something special from Kitchen Confidential, we’re still working out those details. But like I said, all of the details are going to be on my Web site – that’s NickBrendon.com – then also you can maybe check out Dalton Grant’s Web site

And I’m trying to think what else is going on.

I’ve got a day off today, but like I said we started the show this week, and Darren Starr is directing this one as well. The words can’t describe, basically, how good it’s going and how great I feel about it. And I’m shooting on the Fox lot and Alyson Hannigan is like, three stages away from me, which is really kind of neat, so I’m seeing her almost daily. And I’m doing a Buffy panel thing tonight, so I’ll be seeing Joss tonight, and I think that’s it, kids.

So I will talk to you within a week, week and a half. Again, go to my Web site for all the rules and all the regulations, because there are a shitload of regulations, I’m sure.

I’m kidding. I don’t even know what regulations mean.

Anyway, I will talk to you soon and you all have a great week, week and a half, and that’s it. Nick Brendon’s going to say bye now: Bye now!
