Nicholas Hello. I had to comment that the Snoopy Dance was truly inspired. I had serious doubts as to whether it could be performed by a human being, and you did an inspiring job. It was also wonderful to have a Xander episode - there aren't nearly enough. [This message has been edited by angelgazer (edited 10-11-2000).] IP: Logged |

Nicholas: Congratulations on an amazing performance. Or amazing performances. Or whatever. And tell Kelly he did a great job, too. And the giggle thing the two of you did at the end over the Spock thing? Truly frightening. Thanks for stopping by. Good luck with the rest of the season! And thanks a whole heckuva lot for getting the Snoopy Dance song stuck in my head All. Day. Long. My coworker (also a fan) and I were humming it in the hall on the way to lunch. IP: Logged |

Monique -- Excellent site! Congratulations!Nicholas -- You did such a great job playing both Suave Xander and Not-So-Suave Xander. So, did you really let Kelly punch you in the nose? I hope we get more "Xantastic" episodes this season; there were just too few last year.

Hi everyone!Monique, I registered! This is an accomplishment for me, since I'm, you know, a slacker And I like how this board scrolls from top to bottom. i think it's easier to read when it's like this - harder when reloading, but simpler to begin with. But maybe that's just me. Anyway... Oh, my goodness. Was there anything I didn't like about last night's ep? Nope. Double Xander, twinnish(?) goodness the first time I saw Kelly was on a Saturday morning show, and I was facing away from the screen, and heard Xander's voice. Vaguely trippy. Must be really interesting to grow up with a twin. But I digress, interesting plot lines, funny remarks, and the SNOOPY DANCE!! There is no bad there.
I did spend some moments trying to tell who was who (it was Kelly on the left, right? ), but for the most part, I was just fascinated watching these two sides of Xander interact. I agree with the person who said that the Scoobies should've known something was up when Xander showed up in khakis. To the construction site, too. I thought it would've been cool if Kelly had played Xander in that last scene when Xander was back to his whole self...unless he did do that. In which case though I highly doubt it I'd have to say "good idea me!" I really hope that this glimpse into suave, cool, romantic, has-his-own-apartment Xander is really the start of him being shown becoming a grownup. I've so missed the Xander-centric eps in the past season, and this was an extremely welcome change. I loved how suave Xander was soo good with the gun, showing the remnants of military take-charge guy as one of his best attributes. And Polgara, Is it possible that Pack Xander had qualities about him that non-Pack Xander didn't? It seems kind of a bit frightening if that was true, but it's interesting to think about. I do love the Xander/Buffy friendship, and I agree that he is always doing something to save her in one way or another. I can see how it wouldn't look it from Xander's point of view, but he was the one who took her from scared freshie to Slayer with her own dorm room in The Freshman. Neither Giles nor Willow accomplished that. In a way, it's almost like Xander's in Buffy's life partly to remind her what she's fighing for, and partly to help her fight. I suppose that's true of all the Scoobies, but it seemed particularly evident with Xander tonight. And that ended up being on the rambly side. Hmm. All in all, fantastic, wonderful, spectacular, a work of art. Bravo!!!! to Nick and Kelly! -Lady of Buffdom <>< Yup, the name's an X line. *g* IP: Logged |

Is the VIP still here?Nicholas Brendan : Wow! Playing both roles like that, both of whom are Xander, but so different from each other, I'm impressed. Have you stored it away on your Emmy submission tape yet? Which leading lady did you prefer? Anya, Willow, Cordelia, Ampata *snerk* or Ms. French *double snerk* ? I guess that would be "leading lady character", huh? How much research went into that Snoopy Dance? Have you burnt out your Charlie Brown Christmas tape or did it come naturally? Boxers or briefs? Wow, I just got chills. Its great to here from Nick.I have to say that I thought it was Nick doing most of the scenes, only when both were on screen could you really tell them apart. And after hearing both Nick and Kelly on KROQ, I could definately tell the differences in their voices. The Replacements is one of my all time favorite episodes. The SNOOPY DANCE is now an instance classic for me. This only strengthens my resolve for MORE Xander on Buffy this season. Ciao Ms. Gwyn IP: Logged |

I missed him, shucks.Great show and I too LOVED the Scobby Dance! But my TV went out in the best part where Xander and Xander come face to face in the appartment, at least it wasn't out long and I saw the rest. So what does Xander think about Riley's comment at the end? [This message has been edited by Trickster (edited 10-11-2000).] IP: Logged |

Man that was a good ep...we get 2 Xanders for the price of one...who can ask for anything better...best line is when Xander was like to Willow...Just wait till you have to handle an evil twin...and willow was like i have and i think i handled and very nicely...LOLThe end when Riley told Xander that Buffy didn't love him just got me...he told Xander which i think is cool...its bothering em though cause i never really thought about it...but do give props out to riley who wanted to lock the 2 xanders up and run experiments on them LOL...oh and who saw the sex line from Anya coming????? i was to my friend "i bet she wants to borrow the 2 of them for a while" LOL ok i'll stop with the blabbering and just end of that Nick and Kelly did a swell job...My friend past by that set when they were filming it and actually got a wave from I think was nick (i didn't know at the time that Kelly was in the ep too) from inside a white van...ok i am really gone now IP: Logged |

Oh sure. I go eat lunch and Nick himself shows up! "grr argh"Polgara, Lady of Buffdom well, that raises an interesting point. Xander's been evil before. Was Pack Xander really just another part of Xander as a whole? If you've seen "The Mask" you know that magical object just makes your innermost and often hidden nature out (if you're a love god, it makes you that. If you're uberevil...well you get the gist). Put the spirit of a hyena into a person, and you do get just a human-shaped hyena, or does the person just get the attributes of a hyena added to their personality? Who's to say that Pack Xander (evil but also cooler and quieter than regular Xander) wasn't simply one part of the regular Xander? Xander remembered everything he'd done when the spell was broken. He wasn't possessed, those were his actions. How do we know it wasn't just bringing out a part of him (I recall the huge debate about why Xander became the leader of the Pack in taht episode and what that meant for his character) Also in "The Wish" EvilXander was evil and dangerous and making with the whole leather thing, but he also said, "Slap my hand, good soul man" which was totally the regular Xander. If EvilWillow and regular Willow shared a lot of attributes, so would EvilXander and regular Xander. Which means Pack Xander, and EvilXander, and SuaveXander, and MeekXander ALL are part of the character. Which means the danger, the badness, the power and the menace of the first two/three are all inside him. Waiting to be unleashed. Before anyone else says it, I'll tell myself, "You have too many thoughts." it's the cold medicine, really Leather Jacket *BAP* It's Brendon. B-R-E-N-D-O-N. Brendon. Sheesh! And you've been watching the show longer than I have! Monique aw, give Marc Blucas a break. After that speech, it's so obvious that Riley's going to die and soon. Xander we know will still be with us for the rest of the season (and hopefully being given more to DO than he has been). Riley, on the other hand, is "doomed as doomed can be." And really what made that moment was the look on Nick's face in that last shot. The sudden realization of the truth. All along he'd been envying Riley, and now he knows, he should be pitying him. Really, ms_gwyn? I sometimes I had hard time telling them apart when they were together. Honestly. Maybe I need to get my eyeglasses fixed again..LOL..but, even when together I had a hard time. Because at the end where they were dressed a like I was like "Why did they make Kelly dirty?" then I was like "Oh..woops.." IP: Logged |

Hi Monique! Leather Jacket! This is wild, I don't go anywhere besides Bronze so don't know if this'll work. That was really cool that Nick himself dropped by and I am absolutely positive the Xander-centricity was in no small part attributable to Bronzer wishes from last season. Yay Nick! Can anyone tell me a frame where it is undoubtedly Kelly and Nick? How about when Kelly walks by Xander on the telephone? I am too naive to tell from the screen what is editing and what isn't. I still believe in Harryhausen's skeletons from Jason and the Argonauts.Frodo IP: Logged |

DarkLady : Sheesh! I just got my hotties mixed up, that's all. Nick Brendon, Brendan Fraser, you know how it is, especially for us old folks ... who can't even read a URL. TaraR : They say you always remember your first. Trickster : Clearly, now Xander is hoping that Buffy will leave Riley and that that will draw Angel back to Sunnydale because it's been so hard on Xander being without his one TRUE love for over a year now. Frodo : I'm pretty sure they didn't bother with expensive blue screens and special effects and just used Kelly some folks have all the luck when they needed two Xanders. IP: Logged |

Although just for good measure I kinda like the idea of A/X/B, I mean come on the three of them are my favorite Buffy characters so naturally I'd love them together. Just saw the posting from Nick! Fantastic episode - thank-you to both Nick and Kelly, and to the creators of this site. I've been a HUGE BTVS fan since day one, but have only recently gotten online. Seeing a post from Nick, who has always been my favorite character on the show, warmed my heart. It makes me feel as though he just might read what I'm writting now, and I finally have a chance to thank him. So: NICHOLAS: Thank you for your great and dedicated work on this show over the years. You and all of the superbly talented people who work on BTVS have made me laugh and cry, feel dread and hope and joy. The great thing is that watching you makes me feel these things not only about what's going on in the show. It helps me to feel them in my own life too, in a world where its not always so easy to stop and experience your emotions. I think that cathartic aspect is a big key to the success of the show. Thanks again, and know what you do is appreciated. NICK FANS: Sorry for the heart pouring up there, but I've always wanted to say that, you know? Good to see all the Nick and BTVS supporters out here, and glad to meet you all. G'night!!! IP: Logged |

Nicholas: Glad to see you could take the time out to post *g* I heard you and Kelly on KROQ's "Kevin and Bean" the other day promoting "The Replacement"...I wish it could have been a longer segment (though I would have been rather late for school ). The Snoopy Dance was hilarious. You did an awesome job (as per usual) in the eppy.Mesuvius: Aww...my twinlet's got the sniffles, too? It must be in the cyber-related blood I, unfortunately, was getting out of a cold, just when I got my current one As for my Buffy/Xander-craziness...it was not a bone...it was a sign! Monique: Glad to see that everything's rockin! Awesome job on the site, but what else can I expect from you? -Charity aka Taygeta [This message has been edited by Charity aka Taygeta (edited 10-11-2000).] IP: Logged |
